November Statistics

Obviously it can’t go on forever, but I remain excited by another month of increased statistics for unique visitors of my blog.  I’d like to thank you for taking the time and ask more of you to please speak your mind, submit a comment and get involved.  The reason I write this blog is threefold; pressure valve – to vent my frustrations and share my joys, information – to let the community know what’s going on in the local political arena and in the area, engagement – to share views, debate issues and talk to one another.  So, while I value and appreciate the lurkers who only read, I hope eventually you will overcome your shyness and join the discussion!

november2009

Total unique visits for November 2009 were – 29548 visits!  A new record for this blog.

Most popular posts were Leap Of Faith, Vive l’Europe and My two-part Lisbon Rant.  These results are interesting.  Firstly because they all feature the European Union which rather supports my suggestions that, contrary to some colleague’s opinions, people do care about it.  Another interesting point is that the second-most popular post was a Guest Post, for the first time ever!  Kudos to my Lib Dem friendly opponent Chattering Man for that.

Least popular points were my post on the 15th “Next Generation” which was unsurprisingly quiet since it covered a training course I had been on and therefore, while fascinating for me, was probably of limited interest to the general public. The other less popular day was 29th when I wrote nothing, so no harm there.

22 Days to Christmas and Counting….

Good numbers. They are equal to some of the mainstream blogs I think.

Moderator (Steve Tierney) Response: My blog is a mainstream blog! What are you saying? Smile

maybe I will write a guest blog thing about being a mum in march and life around here. or maybe that would just be boring.

Moderator (Steve Tierney)’s Response: I think it would be excellent. I’d be very happy to publish that and would like to encourage you to give it a go.

Do these visits count as visits to the bit where you can comment, or to the blog in general – as I sometimes read the main blog and ignore the comments page (if I am rushed for time), and guess I’m not the only one?

Moderator (Steve Tierney)’s Response: Visits to any page in the blog are counted as a visit, but only once. So if you visit two or three pages, thats still just one “unique visit”.
