I haven’t done one of these for a long time, so I thought I’d just feed back on this blog’s traffic report after the obligatory “revisits” and spambots and the like are filtered out.
The report is for the month from 11th August to 11th September.
The site has received 36374 Unique Visitors, which means that each of them corresponds to a different IP address. This prevents somebody who visits the site several times in the same day from being recorded more than once – but if they were to visit the site from two different internet connections then they would be recorded twice.
Presuming this is an “average” month (which, broadly, it is) then we’re looking at getting a little over 400,000 Unique Visitors a year. That’s a lot less than I used to get when I was a County Councillor (in 2012 the site had nearly a million unique visitors), but still a very respectable number which I am pleased with.
When I’ve done this in the past, I’ve reported on which blog posts have received the most interest. But as you can see – over the last month it’s been a fairly consistent, hovering about 1200 visitors per pay. There is no specific blog post which has set the needle shooting upwards. Maybe I should be a bit more controversial: :)
Thanks, as ever, to everybody who takes the time to come read my ramblings. It really is very much appreciated.
