WGS Rugby Club Fundraising
I was out today with the WGS Rugby Club to support their fundraising efforts.
I met the lads at Tesco, where the supermarket giant are supporting their efforts.
The lads were there last night and again today and are trying to bike the distance of their American Rugby tour, 385 miles, using the static bikes and rowers.
During all this furious fundraising activity they were also selling American themed cakes!
Later in the year, twenty-five boys from the school’s 5th and 6th Form will play Rugby starting in San Francisco and finishing in Los Angeles. They will act as ambassadors for the school and the game of Rugby.
They are raising money for their chosen charity – Wooden Spoon Rugby – and also towards the Rugby Tour.
